I Said a Prayer for You Today

I said a prayer for you today before I sent this poem.
I asked the Lord to bless you and someday bring you home.
I asked for traveling mercies as on this earth you trod.
I asked for a seeking heart that strives to lay hold of God.
I asked not for simple things... like earthly wealth untold.
I asked for much more nobler things than power, fame or gold.
I asked for grace to carry in times of trial and pain.
I asked for Him to lead, as new heights you gain.
I asked for faith to trust that God always knows what's best.
I asked for strength to persevere and in His arms to rest.
I hope you know that what I’ve prayed is sincere and very true.
I prayed that you will let Him live His life of love through you.
