Christian. Missional. Holiness.
We are Christian.
We are a part of the greater Christian faith—that is, we believe, along with all Christians:
In God, the Father, Almighty—maker of heaven and earth.
In Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirt
Born of the Virgin Mary
Suffered under Pontius Pilate
Was crucified, dead, and buried
He descended into hell
On the third day He rose again
He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father, Almighty
From thence He shall come again to judge the living and the dead.
In the Holy Spirit
In the holy Church universal
In the communion of saints
In the forgiveness of sins
In the resurrection of the body
In the life everlasting
We are missional.
We believe in living out the call that Jesus gave to all his disciples:
“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” - Matthew 28:19-20
We are holiness.
We believe that Jesus’s suffering, death, and resurrection were meant to give us more than a simple, “get-out-of-hell-free” pass.
He died and rose again so that we could find power in Him to live in and interact with the world around us like He did. We call that “holiness,” and Nazarenes believe that holiness isn’t something that we do ourselves; it is something the Holy Spirit does in us.
