Good Morning Church,
I come to share positive and encouraging things with you. God is faithful to His children. One of the men in our church who needed a job was hired about 8 or 9 days ago. He already got a raise and more hours. PTL.
Susan went to Pennsylvania to be with our daughter on her birthday. She had a good time and made it home safely. PTL.
All our daughter's medical tests came back negative this past week. Doctors have her on medication and she is doing much better. PTL.
We had wonderful services yesterday and I am grateful to Pastor Nathan for preaching a solid Biblical message Sunday morning on being saved by God's grace and not by works. PTL.
We had a good crowd Sunday night and we continued our series on, "When Life Doesn't Turn Out the Way You Expect." Last night's topic was on "How to Deal with Bitterness and Anger in Your Life." That will be posted on the website tonight. PTL.
My thought for today is found in Romans 8:37 which says, "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." Paul is saying despite the trouble, hardship, and persecution we face, we can overcome. We are not only conquerors, but more than conquerors. It is not simply that we triumph over these formidable forces, but that in doing so we bring glory to God, blessing to others, and good to ourselves. The one who loves us will help us make stepping stones out of our roadblocks. Only the power of Christ can bring sweetness out of bitterness, strength out of weakness, triumph out of tragedy, and blessing out of heartbreak. PTL.
I guess you can't get much better than that on this Monday morning. Despite all we go through, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us. PTL.
Till next time, Pastor Don PTL.
P.S. This Saturday night starting at 5pm is the Men's Wild Game Dinner. Please pray that it will be an exciting time and a blessing to our men.
