NEWSLETTER ARCHIVE

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you all had a nice weekend. My mother and dad came down Friday afternoon to spend the weekend with us. We had a wonderful Men's Prayer Breakfast at the church on Saturday morning. I appreciate the 19 men who came out. We sure enjoyed good fellowship, breakfast together, devotions, and prayer. On Sunday morning Phil & Monica Carr were with us for a special missionary service. They are missionaries to Ghana, Africa and are home stateside doing deputational work for the next 4 months. God is using them in Africa to reach people for Christ. Monica shared with the boys and girls in Kidz Church, and I heard the children really enjoyed it. My message Sunday night was, "How Does Money Affect You?" You can listen to it tonight as Andrew will have it up on the website.

This morning I want to talk to you about restoration. We all need restoration in our lives. Much of what we do in the church is therapeutic these days, but I believe people's needs, many times, go beyond that. People have a need for restoration and renewal in their lives. Restoration means to bring back to a former or original condition. In fact, I believe the essential meaning of salvation is restoration. Salvation is none other than the miraculous, restoring power of God. God can make all things new in a person's life.

God through the prophet Isaiah said He would restore Israel's judges and bring back counselors as at the beginning.

David prayed God would restore the joy of his salvation.

The Apostle Paul said anyone is Christ is a new creation.

And then in Revelation the greatest restoration will be when God makes all things new.

Today, I encourage you to surrender to God your failures, your problems, and your challenges. Take them to Him in prayer. He can save to the uttermost. He is the God of redeeming, reclaiming, recovering, and rescuing. And ladies and gentlemen, that is good enough for Pastor Don. May God restore us this week.

Till next time, Pastor Don

P.S. Next Sunday is Sanctity of Life Sunday. Come prepared to receive a strong pro-life message on Sunday morning. If you want to attend TEAM Day on February 23rd, get your applications back in to the office by the 24th of January.
