NEWSLETTER ARCHIVE

Good Morning Everyone,

I greet you on this Monday morning and trust you'll have a blessed week walking with Jesus. Sunday was another great day and we experienced the presence of the Lord. Thanks to Pastor Sarah and the teens for taking part in the service. The teens actually did everything but preach the message, and your pastor wants you to know they did a great job! I believe the Lord was pleased that they were available and ready to be used by Him. We had many visitors Sunday, and our prayer is that they will come back and worship with us again.

I was reading this morning in Ephesians Chapter 3, a wonderful prayer that Paul prayed for the believers at Ephesus. Paul in his prayer prays that the church may be strengthened, that Christ may dwell in their hearts, and that these believers would be rooted and established in love. In the verb "rooted" we move our thoughts to the plant world. A tree or plant must get its roots deep into the soil if it is to have both nourishment and stability. A good question to ask yourself this morning is, "From what do I draw my nourishment and my stability?" If there is to be power in the Christian life, then there must be depth. The roots must go deeper and deeper into the love of Christ. Also, we have the idea of being grounded in these verses. The foundation is the most important part of a building. In building a structure, an architect will always tell you, "If you don't go deep, you can't go high."

My prayer for each of you today is that you go deep, become established, and let your love deepen for God. Then and only then will you begin to grasp and understand the vast expanses of the love of God. Have a great week going deeper in the Lord's love.

Till next time, Pastor Don

P.S. Monday & Tuesday nights are women's and men's softball games at the church. Why not come out and support the men and ladies that play. All games start at 6pm.

Ruth Presley is having surgery on Wednesday. Please pray and we will keep you informed how things go.

Saturday is the Men's Prayer Breakfast at 9am. If you have not signed up yet, call the church and let Andrew know.

On Sunday morning, May 27th, I will be preaching a special sermon on my personal vision the Lord has given me for South Flint. You won't want to miss it.
