Good morning friends and family!

This is Sarah Brackenridge, Youth Pastor at South Flint - filling in for Pastor Don's Monday Morning Newsletter. Please keep Pastor Don in your prayers this week as he is in South Dakota pheasant hunting.

This morning I would like to share with you one of my favorite scriptures in the Bible. It comes from Jeremiah 1:4-8 and it says, "The word of the Lord came to me saying, 'Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.' Ah Sovereign Lord, I do not know how to speak I am only a child. But the Lord said to me, 'Do not say I am only a child. You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you, declares the Lord.'" This verse is a promise verse for me in my life. Whenever I feel the task that God has given me is too much for me too handle - or I think that He has chosen the wrong person for the job - He silently reminds me of these verses. In ministry if there is one thing I have learned, it's that Satan will never miss an opportunity to remind me of my shortcomings and fears. I'm sure that is true for most of you too. I just want to encourage you that whatever is in front of you right now - the victory is already won! What an amazing thing this verse talks about - being set apart. What an awesome thought, that God Almighty set you and me apart for His own special purpose! That gives me peace today and everyday as I seek His will for my life and my choices. Remember that God does not call the qualified - but qualifies the called!

JOKE FOR THE WEEK:  Real Church Bulletin errors . . .

~ The senior choir invites any member of the congregation who enjoys sinning to join the choir.

~ This being Easter Sunday, we will ask Mrs. Lewis to come forward and lay an egg on the altar.

~ For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs.

~ Don't let worry kill you - let the church help.

~ The Associate Minister unveiled the church's new tithing campaign slogan last Sunday, "I Upped My Pledge- Up Yours!"

~ Weight Watchers will be meet at 7pm at the First Presbyterian Church. Please use the large double door at the side entrance.

~ At the evening service, the sermon topic will be "What Is Hell?" Come early and listen to our choir practice.

~ The rosebud on the altar this morning is to announce the birth of David, the sin of Rev. and Mrs. Adams.

~ Remember in prayer many who are sick of our church and community.
