NEWSLETTER ARCHIVE

Good Morning Church Family,

Once again I come to you on Monday morning. We are experiencing good and exciting days at South Flint Nazarene. As many of you know, we are right in the middle of our Fall revival. The services have been excellent, and we praise the Lord for victories at the altar. God has surely used Larry & Tamla Leckrone as they have ministered to us. I can't tell you how happy I am to see good crowds out for all the services so far. Thanks for your faithfulness!

I have been thinking about spiritual renewal and the need for revival in our hearts. In Isaiah - Chapter 40, I share God's words, "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall soar on wings like eagles. They shall run and not grow weary, and they shall walk and not be faint." You know as well as I do that everyone needs their strength restored from time to time. "Renew" here means to exchange, as taking off old clothes and putting on new ones. We literally can exchange our weakness for His power. Waiting on God enables us to soar when there is a crisis, to run when the challenges are many, and to walk faithfully in the day by day demands of life. The great missionary, William Carey said, "I can plod. That is my only genius. I can persevere in my Godly pursuits." They say the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. That is my plan this week, to pursue after God, little by little. I want to fly higher, run faster, and maybe plod longer. Blessed are the plodders, for they eventually arrive at their destination. This week could not have come at a better time for me. God has been blessing me, filling me, and renewing me. It is so good to be renewed and to keep plodding. May God bless each of you on your journey.

Till next time, Pastor Don

P.S. We have 3 more revival services. Please make it your priority to come out and support these wonderful services Mon.-Wed. at 7pm.

P.S.S.  FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

1. JESUS BUILT A BRIDGE WITH 2 BOARDS AND 3 NAILS.
2. THE BEST WAY TO HAVE THE LAST WORD IS TO APOLOGIZE.
3. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE WAY THE COOKIE CRUMBLES, TRY THE BREAD OF LIFE.
