Good Morning Everyone,
What a great day to be alive and serving Jesus.
We had a wonderful time at God's House
yesterday. We had excellent attendance with over
140 in morning worship, good music, and a
thought-provoking message from God's Word. You
couldn't ask for anything better. Sunday night
found about 60 of us as Sister Vera Davis'
Church, Love Mercy Ministries. We are the first
church in our district to go down, visit, and
see first-hand what God is doing in Detroit. I
was so proud of our church family. Thanks to all
who went, participated, and helped make the
service a success. Vera has a vision and the
passion for a great work there. We blessed them
and they blessed us, especially with the
wonderful food.
This morning I want to give you one verse of
scripture that has helped me have the right
perspective about spiritual warfare. II
Corinthians 10:4 says, "The weapons of our
warfare are not carnal, but are mighty to the
pulling down of Satan's strongholds." God is
saying through the Apostle Paul that wealth,
glory, power, influence, or even cleverness will
not accomplish much as far as God's Kingdom is
concerned. There is no spiritual power in those
things. That is what the world equates success
to, but not God. Spiritual weapons are faith in
God, prayer, and obedience to the Word. That is
what is effective for every true soldier of
Jesus Christ. Listen to what the Message says --
"The tools of our trade aren't for marketing or
manipulation, but they are for demolishing that
entire massively corrupt culture."
I encourage you to be doing spiritual warfare
this week. Stay on your toes. Be Spirit-led.
Know the Word of God and use it. Put on the
whole armor of God and stand firm. Let's pull
down and destroy the work of Satan this very
week.
Till next time, standing firm in the fight,
Pastor Don
P.S. There are a few of us going to Vassar
Nazarene Church tonight to hear Rev. Larry &
Tammi Leckrone preach and sing. They are our
evangelists coming in October for fall revival.
If you want to go contact me today.

WHILE DRIVING IN PENNSYLVANIA, A FAMILY CAUGHT
UP TO AN AMISH BUGGY. THE OWNER OF THE CARRIAGE
MUST HAVE HAD A SENSE OF HUMOR BECAUSE ATTACHED
TO THE BACK OF CARRIAGE WAS A HAND PRINTED SIGN
THAT SAID, "ENERGY EFFICIENT" RUNS ON GRASS AND
OATS. DON'T STEP IN EXHAUST....................
